Scheduling Data Load Jobs in Calendar Task

Hello SAP Community,

I am currently working with calendar tasks and need clarification on scheduling data load jobs. Specifically, I would like to know:

1. Is it possible to schedule, pause, and release the actualization of data load jobs within a calendar task?
2. Can the calendar task be used to refresh the account dimension and dimension hierarchies automatically?

Any insights or best practices on this would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

you can use Multi-Actions which can be scheduled via calendar. Multi-Actions can include beside others data import jobs, which can be data model imports and/or dimension imports.

Is that possible to pause and release the data load job through calendar?

No. If you run the data load jobs via calendar they are typically unscheduled. Scheduling is done via calendar. If you want to pause/release the import job you have to do this directly in the calendar in the multi-action task.
