The monitoring functions for SDI are moving to XS Advanced, and are already partly available. You navigate to them via the Database Explorer (HRTT) - make sure you run the latest version to make use of them as these features are pretty recent. Having said that, there is no feature parity yet, but the XS classic monitoring is still available for XS Advanced Web IDE flowgraphs, to monitor and to schedule them. You can use all functions there that were available for XS classic. Once you have build a Web IDE project containing a flowgraph, it should show up in the XS classic monitor. So I would recommend to download the latest version of that monitor for your HANA SP, and check again.
When you want to start or schedule a flowgraph, you do need to assign privileges to the user with which you log on to the monitor, since that is still a runtime DB user that does not get its privileges auto-assigned by the XS Advanced platform. By default, there is a <container_name>::access_role that contains full container privileges, including executing flowgraphs.
