Hello,
I am using the authenticator app to get the passcode (TOTP) for Provisioning access. Since I have changed my device and the connection was previously established on the other device, I am not able to access again using this new device.
I need to either insert the secret key or Scan the QR code.
How can I get the secret key or from where can I scan the QR code? Please advise, specially that the connection was already established?
Hello Hyunae,
You may send and email to sso@sap.com requesting to deactivate your OTP. (Provide your S-User & Email)
You will receive an email that TOTP has been removed.
To avoid issues from other sources, it is recommended to uninstall the authenticator app from your phone, restart the phone, re-install the app and then follow the set-up process described above to configure your user for MFA again MFA https://support.sap.com/en/my-support/mfa.html#section_1068581137
Please deactivate your Two-Factor authentication before you uninstall the Authenticator app or change/switch to a new smartphone/device. You need an active passcode to deactivate your Two-Factor
Note, that your smartphone's internal time should be received from a time-server, and not be set manually, as the latter can lead to our landscape time and your phone time being out of sync, in which case the passcode would not be valid.
Please ensure, that you also delete your cache/cookies from your browser, and restart the browser as well. Freshly load the page you wish to authenticate to and proceed.
Thank you,
