Scan a Barcode for mobile Services

I am currently experiencing an issue with the SAP Mobile Services Client (version 24.11.3 on Android) when attempting to update my Mobile Development Kit (MDK) app.

Upon launching the app and triggering an update, I receive the following error message:

"App update failed, will roll back to previous metadata definitions.

Reason: Invalid/Incompatible bundle file!

After clicking "OK", the screen goes completely black, displaying only a "Log out" button. The app doesn't load any metadata or interface beyond that point.

That indicates there is a problem with the metadata bundle you deployed to Mobile Services.  The blank page is with the logout button is part of the default metadata giving you the option to logout.  If you restart the client or switch to another app and then back to the mobile services client it will automatically check again for metadata in Mobile Services App Update and prompt you to accept the definitions.  Of course if you have not re-deployed with changes I would expect you to get the same error again.

I would recommend you check the client log file.  You can access it following the steps under Accessing Client Logs in the Troubleshooting section of the documentation.  Hopefully the log will give you details about what is wrong with your metadata.
