SBOP Dashboards installtion error

Hello,

I am trying to install BO Dashboard 4.0 (Package # 51041024) on windows 2008 sever R2.

When set up is run it checks for pre-requisites and throws an error

missing critical pre requisites of

Flash player (version 9 or higher) and

Windows Version

Server has 10.3 flash player and server 2008 is supported platform. Ticket has been opened with SAP support for about a week now but no solution yet.

Reproduction;

When I installed on my local desktop (windows 7) it throws an error of missing MS Office where I already have office 2010 installed.

Tried installing BO Dashboard 4.1 (package # 51041684) but still stuck with same error.

Installing previous version of office and reinstalling a dashboard is not an option.

Just curious to know if anyone has faced this scenario and/or any work around.

Having the same issue on Windows 2003 server. Even though I was able to install Flash Player 10.3 using Firefox...

Installation program still does not recognize. Any help would be appreciated.

When I updated the BusinessObjects Enterprise 4 with latest service pack and applied patch the "windows version" error went away and then for flash player, downloading and installing flash player using Internet Explorer along with active X for IE took care of flash player error. After that dashboard setup ran successfully without error.

It's kind of strange that SAP support could not help and we had unpleasant client experience.
