saving a report using 2 queries on the same table (with different filters) using a merged dimension

when closing and reopening it i've seen two different behaviors :

- either the merged dimensions are "lost" and thus the data appear as "#SYNCDATA" until I remerge the dimension allowing to identify the lines I want matched in both requests and reaffect it to the details that depend on it

- either (more disturbing) it auto associates all dimensions that have the same name in both request ( all of them actually ... resulting in keeping only the data that are strictly identical, definitely not what I want)

using SAP BusinessObjects - Web Intelligence (WebI) SAP BusinessObjects BI 4.3 Support Pack 4 Correctif 6 with the new web interface and I didn't have that problem with the previous "old UI" version.

Use case behind : I have in the same table a price, fields allowing me to identify a specific line, and a beginning and end of validity dates. I want to recover in the same table both the current and previous price ... it works well with the merged dimension on the fields allowing to identify a specific line, but if I save and replay the reports, the merged dimensions get lost or unappropriately associated.

Is there a setting I miss somewhere that impacts the way merged dimesions are saved or "auto calculated" when a report is opened ?

Check for the Auto-merge dimension Data Options setting in your Webi document.  Make sure it is turned OFF.  This might resolve the issue.

**bleep**, who the hell thought it could be a good idea to automerge those and worse, by default .... thanks a lot, it fixes it !
