Why we should not adjust the objects with Short Description containing ABAP Editor [ Object Name - SAPLEDITOR_START ] in SPAU ?
I had accepted customer changes(adjusted) - as it had customer changes in the latest customer TR but after that fix I was not allowed to check/fix or work on any other object in the system - as it was throwing runtime error for every other object when you went to check other objects.
Then , later after reverting the changes for the object having ABAP Editor description [ Object Name - SAPLEDITOR_START ]- we were able to check other objects . Any idea , why did this happen ?
Is it so - we should fix such objects at last in SPAU Activity ?
It had come in WITH ASSISTANT objects in SPAU .

Don't cut off the branch you're sitting on.
You applied some customer change of a previous version to a system object required by SPAU, the function group that 'Start ABAP Editor'... I hope these changes were just the manual application of a note?
(Got a similar problem some years ago in SNOTE when a note changed a program used by SNOTE...)

Hi Raymond ,
Yes , I completely agree with your words . But , I don't understand why after applying customer changes in the latest release causing this run time error for all other objects . Is this the first object that gets called as the description suggests 'ABAP Editor' as it may have some issue.
However , as of now I have just reverted the changes for that FUGR object type and kept that object in HOLD and working on other objects.
When you had come across this type of issue , what action was took ? Can you please help me out .
Thank You.
Regards,
Pavan
We reverses the change applied to Abap Editor, those were related to manual steps in some now obsolete OSS notes, so we didn't apply those later. (In fact the editor was broken, so SNOTE was no longer able to apply any correction to Abap code...)
