SAP System Resizing Check

Dear Guru's,

Recently I had an request to resizing an SAP APO system. System is running in MSSQL Db and LiveCache in MaxDB.

If I need to go for Resizing, what are the points or parameters I need to check?

for Databases like HANA/Oracle/MSSQL and how to check ?

If I need to resize Application alone or Database alone, how to proceed.
