SAP support for encrypted SQL Server Database/Windows Server operating system

Our Business Objects system DB is SQL Server.
Could you please let me know if Business Objects 4.2 SP 8 / Windows OS operates in and is supported in SQL Server encrypted mode?

BOE communicates with SQL DB via SQL Drivers, so if the SQL drivers can connect and pull data from SQL DB that has been encrypted - so will BOE (in theory).
It needs to be tested.
