SAP standard library to support excel data read

Could you kindly confirm whether Ican use the NPM XLS library to upload and read XLS data, and if it is safe to do so in use SAP UI5 Application.

Additionally, I would appreciate it if you could suggest any alternative solutions for this task without NPM(third party API).
