SAP SOL 7.2 (Dashboard Builder) to monitoring SAP BI

Dear All,

In ordert to manage SAP BI Platform from Solution Manager I found out the documentation reported below:

Our target is to create a Dashboard using Dashboard Builder to monitoring SAP BI Platform. Is it possible achieve this task? If yes where I can find information and documentation about this topic?

Hello Michael Jennings

SAP Solution Manager has a functionality called as Technical Monitoring(i.e. System Database and Host level) which you can do the setup for enabling monitoring of your SAP system like ERP or BI where it help to identify Technical issues related to system host or db level.

In addition, you can perform additional monitoring for BI like BW process chain monitoring etc. specific to BI configuration and this is BW

Further above will help you to setup the monitoring which automatically helps you to see standard dashboard for monitoring coming out of box in Solution Manager 7.2 BI monitoring. If this doesn't help you then you should setup and configure dashboard with dashboard builder.

Hi, in addition to above;

use the SAP Solution Manager standard functionality for BI monitoring and data readiness monitoring. With this functionality you can create all kinds of alerting and notifications. You can push these results by email distribution lists or show them in a dashboard with status indicators.

Message me if you want to know more about our experience. We recently provided our BI team with this functionality with examples and tutorials..
