SAP Signavio Language of Folders

Hello Community 🙂
I am working on a Signavio Setup where we are working with two languages, english and german. We already changed the default language of the workspace to german, but we anyways also need the content additionally in english. We therefore have given the content and the folder english and german names.

You can see here a Folder and a BPMN file:

The language you see is in german, even though my personal language is english:

Here you can see both fields are maintained:

So my question is, how can I change the language of an individual User in Process Manager to see the english fields in the navigational explorer of the Process Manager, while the overall workspace default language is german?

I wish I had an answer for you instead of a recommendation: contact Signavio support. It could be a bug. They have been really helpful on our learning journey these last few months.

We use English (workspace default) and French. I was able to get the translation to behave as expected (based on your scenario) in the Process Collaboration Hub, but not the Process Manager. I wonder if this is because our workspace default is English, so everything needs to be developed in English first.

I'd be interested to learn what you find out, if you don't mind sharing once you've reached a conclusion.

Good luck!

"Its not a bug, its a feature!"

I received Feedback from Signavio Support:
"Hello Stephen,

Please note that this is a known limitation of the system. The same is mentioned in the following KBA: https://me.sap.com/notes/3161333/E

As this is a limitation, I have just reported your feedback to our product management as a feature request.

I currently have no information about the implementation of this feature request. However, you can get an insight into the development plans on the page https://roadmaps.sap.com/ by using the term "Signavio" for the search.

If there is an improvement of the feature, that will be part of the official communication and via the release notes of the products.

Thanks and best regards,
Kristof
SAP Signavio Customer Support"

Therefore I will leave this ticket open. But currently (18th Dec 24) there is no solution for this but hopefully it will be in the future!

Hello @Stephen_Niemann,

I am Ascha and part of the virtual Customer Success Team at SAP Signavio.

After switching languages in SAP Signavio Collaboration Hub, it should also change across the sub solutions, so SAP Signavio Collaboration Hub and Process Manager. As it seems like this is not happening in your case, I can only re-call what @Shawn has already mentioned. Please open a case via SAP for Me to resolve this issue. Here you can find a step-by-step guideline on how to open a case.

For futher questions, feel free to comment here or to reach out to signavio_success@sap.com

Thank you and kind regards

Ascha (as part of virtual Customer Success at SAP Signavio)

Hello Ascha, I created already a case in SAP For Me and you can see the reply from the support team in my previous message. Based on this is there currently no solution for this. Also the KBA suggests that there is not solution to it https://me.sap.com/notes/3161333/E. Are you now saying there is a solution?

Hi @Stephen_Niemann, as you were referring to the folder names and diagram titles, I am afraid that Kristof's answer (from the Support Team) is the valid one. I made the false assumption that the same rules apply here as for the language settings for the menu/labels in the application, but unfortunately this is not the case. Sorry for the confusion.
