SAP Screen Personas Camera IPad Auto focus

We are using the iPad camera to take pictures of food products during a quality control process in QM. When taking a photo with the iPad's internal camera application, you have to touch the screen to trigger auto focus if no face is detected. In Slipstrean Engine, the camera application for creating an attachment doesn't trigger the auto focus and the photo is blurred. What should I do ?

Hi,

Please try the following approach:

  1. When attachment dialog is opened, there are two options: Start Camera and Browse Files
  2. Select Browse files
  3. Select Take Photo or Video
  4. Native camera app will have focus control
  5. Take photo
  6. Select Use Photo
  7. Select created photo in Slipstream Engine and push Confirm

So you have to use Browse Files and then use native camera to access the focus.

Hi, thanks for your message. We are using this 'File attachment solution' since many months, but the second one is more convenient for the users in the workshop who have to take pictures every 45 minutes.

Based on information received from the browser client developers, currently it is not possible to control the camera focus in Personas.

The expectation is that the camera uses autofocus by default though. You could experiment with adjusting the lighting or changing the distance to the object to see how that works.
