Hi Team,

I am reaching out to seek your assistance in understanding the Capital Expense ( SAP_FI_IFP_IM_CAPEX_Planning  planning present in SAP SAC IFP Planning. Currently, I am observing that the Plan Asset is showing an amount of 5000 for the entire 2026 period, which seems incorrect to me. As we know, the plan asset acquisition should be a one-time purchasing activity, and the amount should be reflected for that specific period only.

Additionally, I have noticed that the Plan Asset acquisition and depreciation values are the same, which again, doesn't seem right. Could someone please help me comprehend the logic behind this? I have attached a screenshot of the input forms for your reference.

Thank you in advance for your help and support. Looking forward to your insights on this matter.

Hi @praveen_kumar334,

the IFP content is delivered with sample data, and we assume that there is a monthly invest for CAPEX planning and a corresponding depreciation. The sample data is the same for each period to make it easier to show how the individual models are integrated. This might not fit to your business, but will help you understanding the content.

Best regards
Susanne

Hi @Susanne_Helbig, Thank you so much for providing the information. I truly appreciate your help in clearing things up. I was a bit confused because I noticed that the same values exist between asset acquisition and depreciation, which doesn't quite make sense to me. Based on the data, can we conclude that these values are indeed invalid and nonsensical? Once again, thank you for your assistance in this matter. Regards, Praveen

Dear @praveen_kumar334,

as I already stated:
the sample data helps to understand the logic and integration of the content and from this perspective the data makes sense, even though this is not reflecting the reality.

Best regards
Susanne
