SAP R Server is Being Phased Out

Hi everyone,

I'm working with R visualizations in SAP Analytics Cloud, but I've run into an issue. Along with the following warning message:

"Deprecation Warning: SAP R server is being phased out.
We recommend creating R visualizations connected to your own R server or using custom widgets for more functionalities.
If you're using your own R server, ignore the message."

My R visualizations are no longer working, and they fail to load data entirely.

I'm looking for possible solutions, and in particular: Are there any recommended custom widgets (on GitHub or elsewhere) that can replace R-visualization widgets?

Any guidance, suggestions, or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated.

Would appreciate any guidance or recommendations on how to deal with it.

HI all. I am also facing the same issue. What about to use a local R server to keep using the existing R visualizations? Have you tried that? Is there any tutorial here how to set up my local R server ? Best Regards

I was also looking into that recently. Here you can find additional information about how to connect your own R Server to SAC. In the context section you will also find a guide from SAP about installing an R Server.

SAP Help - Connect to an R Environment 

I haven't tried this myself, but I believe that any other hosted instance of R will also work. From my understanding you need to get an R Environment next and you can set it up yourself or purchase a managed service from a hosting provider.
