SAP Portal upgrade from current version SAP NW 7.50, SPS 20 to SAP NW 7.50, SPS 26

Hi Experts,

Hope you are doing good !!

We are planing to upgrade the EP portal systems from current version SAP NW 7.50, SPS 20 to SAP NW 7.50, SPS 26 and This will be a Technical SPS Upgrade only.

Kindly help on what is the required activities from portal end (pre and post upgrade).

Hi Prasad,

Below will be the Pre and Post Checks of SP Upgrade:

• Test all the System Alias.
• Test all the destination in nwa.
• Check all the custom Portal applicaiton and keep the back up of the applicaiton.
• Test the JCO's Destination if any.
• Test and verify the SAP Backend certificate.

These are basic activities which you have to perofrom as Pre and Post Upgrade. As it is SP upgrade so there wont be much imact on the system.

Need to check the portal desktop and themes or any compatibility issue will come?
regarding custom portal apps means custom webdynpro java apps.
any impact on custom par/war files?
any impact on ESS and MSS level?
to take the backups means screen shot of those configuration is fine or what type of backups is required.

Hi Prasad, There wont be any impact on Portal Desktop, themes, Custom Portal apps wdj, par/war, ess/mss. Just take screen shot of the configuration for safer side. Regards,
