Hi,

We performed upgrade of SAP dual stack PI NW 7.40 to SAP PI NW 7.5 followed by Split procedure.

We followed upgrade guide, see attached, page 62,

f the former SAP PI system is a dual-stack implementation, you must carry out after the upgrade of SAP PI to SAP NetWeaver 7.5 the dual-stack-split using the software provisioning manager for the dual stack-split procedure and the PI Upgrade CTC Wizard for the configuration adjustment.

1 - upgrade

2 - split

3 - trying to run PI Upgrade EHP Wizard and it failing.

SAP note DIGITS , see attached, have different sequence: Upgrade, Wizard, Split.

So, 2 documents have different information.

Since Upgrade and split is already done, we are seeking your help on completing PI Upgrade EHP Wizard.

According to the note below, the Wizard cannot be run after split.

Kind regards,

PERSON_NAME.

As mentioned in the SAP Documentation: Which CTC Configuration Tasks (Wizards) do I need to execute in my PI/PO systems and when do I execu... (point 3: Dual Usage upgrade), the correct steps are as follows (see note 2230617 Upgrade and Split of Netweaver Pi Dual Stack in SAP Netweaver 7.5):

  • Upgrade the system to 7.50

  • Execute the Upgrade Wizard e.g. note 1450419 Configuration Wizard: PI Upgrade EHP

  • Split the ABAP and Java stacks (SUM operation)

  • Execute the Split Wizard as per note 2190371 Configuration Wizard: PI Split

As per the same note mentioned in the above, to run the CTC Wizard, start the SAP NetWeaver Administrator with "http://<java_host>:<java_port>/nwa" and navigate to "Configuration Management --> Scenarios --> Configuration Wizard". Select "PI Split".
