Hi SAP,
We have an audit requirements to configure the following Oracle Standard and Administrator auditing, in this regards we would to understand if this is possible in an SAP system running on Oracle 19 and will there be any impact on the performance of the system.
1. Standard auditing
2. Administrator auditing
Kind regards,
Request clarification before answering.
Hi,
Excessive auditing slows down the instance and creates a huge amount of audit records. Therefore you must
carefully plan which operations you really have to audit to restrict the amount of audit data to a minimum as
also mentioned in Note 1710997.
You must monitor the free space to avoid database stuck because of of file system full (system overflow,
registry overflow or tablespace overflow). Make sure that the audit data generated by the operating system
does not cause the file system to overflow, since this may have a negative impact on the Oracle database
(for example, errors in establishing the connection).
Unified auditing has several benefits like easier management and higher security of the audit trail or better
auditing performance. Compared to traditional auditing, administration of Unified auditing is easier, audit
trail security is higher and auditing performance is much better.
For more details see SAP Note 2379567 - Using Unified Auditing with SAP NetWeaver
