There is no need to use any third party commercial tool to restore database from .mdf file. you can simply attach .mdf file without .ldf in SQL Server

Hi,

Attach database without log file (Process automatically creates new ldf).

I really hope this is not your production database. There is no way to know what you will lose with your ldf. Gone. You may have severe inconsistancies in the SAP data. If there was a transport midway, you will have dumps. There will be no roll-forward or rollback. If you have a backup, use that as the first option. If not, well then you have nothing to lose. Try the steps in the following article about SQL 2000. I have tried it years back, you will get your DB running. Run a complete DBCC after.

let me know if it works.
