Hi,
I want to know if I develop a bot for UI scenarios, where the bot has to log in sap logon and enter one or more transactions. Which type of user is recommended to do it? We normally use a user of the dialog type, but this type of user requests a password change from time to time. In a partner consultation hour session I was told that the service user is better in unattended cases, but does this user incur digital access? Do we have to assign a named user license to this user?Request clarification before answering.
Hi David,
Review below link.
I think you need to you need to use the service user yes. Unless your user will come in via backend like RFC then you can use System.
In Production servers except the following users (SAP*, TMSADM, WF-BATCH and DDIC) all the users will be taken into account for license costing irrespective of the user type (Dialog, service, system and so on).
We can classify the users based on their functionality in the license tab in SU01(SU10). Those users who are not classified will be assumed as the professional users (higher license cost) during the user measurement(USMM).
Kind Regards ,
Johan
