SAP Logon 750 crashes to desktop without errors after installing AMD drivers

I recently upgraded to an RX 7700 XT and decided it was a good time for a fresh Windows install. After setting up all my drivers and applications, I installed SAP Logon 750. However, when I tried to connect, the application immediately disappeared without any error messages.

I tried various troubleshooting steps from online sources, but nothing worked. Eventually, Perplexity suggested checking the GPU drivers, as similar issues had been reported with Nvidia cards. I uninstalled all AMD drivers and software using Revo Uninstaller, rebooted, and to my surprise, SAP Logon remained open, and I could successfully connect to my server.

Unfortunately, as soon as I reinstalled the AMD drivers and Adrenaline software, the problem returned. Do you have any advice on resolving this? My CPU does have integrated graphics, but it's over 12 years old, and I'd really like to use my new GPU.

I hope this is the correct place to post this...

I wasn't able to resolve the issue completely, but I found a workaround for emergency situations. Here’s what you can do:

  1. Open SAP Logon and switch the theme to one of the older themes.

  2. After changing the theme, you should be able to start a session using the following command:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP\FrontEnd\SAPgui\sapshcut.exe" -system=XXX -client=XXX -user=xxxxxxxxxx -pw=xxxxxxxx -language=EN

I hope this helps someone!
