SAP LaMa Addon on S/4HANA

Hello everyone,

today I stumbled upon the Landscape Management 3.0 ENT addon for SAP S/4HANA. Documentation still says you need to have SAP Netweaver JAVA to run LaMa so I was wondering what the ABAP component is about/used for.

Hello Steven,

LaMa is still deployed on top of a SAP NetWeaver AS JAVA 7.50.

For the pre/post steps of our system copy/ system refresh procedures we leverage the ABAP Post-Copy Automation (PCA). The system copy/ system refresh/ BDLS task lists are unlocked in the affected system by importing a .SAR file via SAINT.

For SAP S/4HANA this file is called PCAI_ENT==100 (https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/notes/2764454).

Are you referring to this addon?
If it's a different addon it would be great, if you could share additional information.

thank you for the screenshots.

I did check with several colleagues on mine:
So it looks like, when you select the Post-Copy Automation AddOn in the Maintenance Planner, when planning your system you will see both components in the System > Status menu:

- SAP Landscape Management, Enterprise Edition

- PCAI_ENT

If you would install the PCA component as described in https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/notes/1621867 via SAINT you should only see PCAI_ENT.

thank you for the answer. Im referring to the addon that is selecable via the maintenance planner wehen planning for a new S/4HANA System. It shows itself in the system products view like this:

Since I can also see the addon you mentioned in the components view I guess this is it. Thank you for your answer.
