We have an S4 HANA OnPremise application installed on IaaS AWS servers. In this case which type of connection should I use to connect SAC to S4 HANA?

Regardless of your hosting solution, you can use either a live or an import connection if this is natively supported for your data source by SAC. I would recommend using the live connection.
