SAP HANA SDI real-time change data capture with HanaAdapterV2 does not replicate an UPDATE row

Hi,

We are replicating data from cloud-based S/4HANA system to on-premises HANA database. Typically a table gets an INSERT and within a second an UPDATE. The INSERT row is transferred successfully but the UPDATE gets lost.

1. The adapter is HanaAdapterV2
2. HANA on-premises is 2.00.079.01
3. DP Agent is 2.7.6.1
4. There are no error messages
5. Most of the Remote Source parameters are left as default
6. Both the INSERT and UPDATE are executed as UPSERT at the target database.

I have activated all possible tracing options but still fail to get meaningful information from tracefiles. The SQL trace on the target HANA database shows that the UPSERT command does not get executed at all (by the APPLIER) and gets lost in the earlier stages of the replication flow.

Please advise,
What are the ways to debug this problem?
What tracing options must get activated in order to see the actual data in various replication stages?
Should we use HanaAdapter instead of HanaAdapterV2?
