SAP HANA DB dead-locks / SAP HANA DB slowness for update queries

Hi All,

we are facing issues because of SAP HANA DB, we observe DB queries taking long even if it is a single data row update in a table. we are on Perm infrastructure! we have lottery going on where there are load on system we have 4 FE / 4 BO nodes & requests are going flow from FrontEndNode - BackendNode - DB (But because of DB slowness) impact is coming on ourBackendNode & hence it make FE Node slow which give bad experience to customers!

in order to resolve that we ware thinking for below approaches , Please suggest if anyone have done anything else too achieve or resolve such issues!

1. Is anyone implemented  master-slave architecture  in HANA DB considering  it is in-memory db.  Was it helpful ?
2. Is anyone done migration from HANA DB to MSSQL/MySQL database ? what was the sizing considered for MSSQL/MySQL for commerce if yes?

As already mentioned, SAP HANA database performance can go across multiple topics and any performance issue needs to be investigated in detail before going to drastic steps such as change in architecture and migration to other database.

It seems there is a generic performance issue on your HANA database as every single database operation is impacted. While this is not good for user experience, it may make the investigation easier as its easily reproducible and does not need long running operations unlike other complex performance issues. I would recommend activating performance traces on the HANA database as per below links and then investigate the issue in detail.
