SAP GUI scripting- Fails when running script on fast network connections

I use SAP GUI scripting together with Excel VBA to open SAP reports, select certain criteria in the reports and then download the results.

What I have observed is that in some cases, when the script is about to select certain values for a report field/parameter, the script breaks. No error message, it simply does not continue to execute any more.

I noted that this only happens if my computer is connected to our company LAN via a cable. When I connect wireless (i.e. use the WLAN), the script works. LAN is faster than WLAN, so I suspect the increased speed of the network is messing things up.

Did anybody experience a similar behavior? What is happening here? What can I do to make my scripts run even when I am connected to a fast network?

many thanks for the comment. I just read through the article and then checked the Network settings. They were already set to "High Speed Connection (LAN)" in my client.
