SAP GUI for Windows Keyboard delay

Hello everyone. We have a special problem with the SAP GUI for Windows. For some users, the keyboard input is sent to the screen field in the SAP GUI with a very long delay. To illustrate this again, here is a simple scenario. A shipment number is to be entered in the screen field in transaction VT03. The user types the number on his keyboard and after approx. 10 seconds it appears in the corresponding field in the SAP GUI.

The problem only occurs sporadically with some users. We have also noticed that this delay occurs with a time delay after restarting the computer. All users are using the SAP GUI for Windows 8.0 Patch 8. Changing the theme only delayed the occurrence of the problem but did not resolve it.

Has anyone noticed this problem and been able to fix it?

Hi Frank,

As you mentioned some of the user's key inputs are delayed in SAPGUI 800, have you checked the end user's laptop or desktop for overall memory and CPU usage? Or are any other applications consuming excessive memory and CPU resources?

 Unfortunately, we were unable to detect any abnormalities in relation to the CPU or memory or other programs
