I have ERROR: Failed to install native resource : Darwin-localstart.jar when installing SAP GUI for JAVA 7.70

Is there a specific java version required?

you are running "PlatinGUI770_1-80004696.JAR" which is the installer for Linux.

Please download the installer for macOS, see SAP note 2541156 for details.
