SAP Fiori launchpad - save as tile functionality

Greetings,

I am trying to prepare two variants of a report (Manage ** app) and I am having some issues.

I prepare the reports, and I successfully save them as tiles and the tile quick info shows the correct result (6 and 122  - count of returned rows) but when I click on the custom tile the report is defaulted to the general variant.

According to the documentation the functionality should be available:

So my question is: What must I do that when I click on the custom tile SAP will show the relevant data (the 6 or 122 rows as represented in the quick result of the tile)?

Hi Matjaz - what solution are you using SAP Fiori launchpad on ? That's a VERY old help reference and yet your screenshot looks recent... so it's probably not the correct help. Can you please get the details from the User Actions (top rightmost MM icon in your screenshot) > About

Your issue may be due to incorrect variant saving or tile linking.

You can try follow these steps for a fix:

1. After creating your report, click 'Save' then 'Save as Variant'. Give it a unique name and description.
2. When saving the app as a tile, select 'Link to Variant' and choose the correct variant.
3. After saving, click '...' on the tile and select 'Settings' to confirm it's linked to the right variant.
4. After these changes, refresh the launchpad to apply them. The correct data should now appear on the tile.

If problems persist, consider contacting SAP Support.

unfortunately, when I save as tile I have no option of linking it to a variant.

Normally the parameters ar prefilled based on the app state parameter in URL. Did you configure you LP to persist the states? https://me.sap.com/notes/0003509154
