Sap Fiori KPI Trend Tile not working properly

Hello!

I have been studying the Fiori Smart Business KPIs for a while and i think i have a pretty good understanding on how they work. I know how to create them and all the details that can be adjusted. But i cannot get the Trend Tile to work properly. 
The issue that i am having is that the Tile ALWAYS only shows only three datapoints in the graph like this:

I have tried with Annotations, i have tried different dimension datatypes like Date, Timestamp ore DateTimeOffset, i have tried adding Filters but nothing made any difference. I even asked different AIs, although i wasn't expecting anything meaningful from them.

I was about to give up and just accept the fact that maybe they can only show three points until i tried implementing a Mini Tile in my Drilldown Report and suddenly the tile has more than three datapoints:

So this means that it obviously is possible to get more datapoints, i just must be doing something wrong but i don't know what. Can anyone explain to me why this is happening or what the reasons for this could be? All i want is for my normal Tile to look like the Mini Tile in the Drilldown Report...
