Hi,
I am undergoing SAP PS training. I came across this term EPPM. If I am not wrong, it is Enterprise Portfolio and Project Management. I wish to know the consistency of SAP project modules with PMBOK. To state roughly PMBOK defines portfolio as collection of programs, program as collection of projects. I am in difficulty here as I do not find program word in EPPM. Please help with an elaborate explanation.

Hi akash
In EPPM entity "Initiative" corresponds to a program. Using Initiatives you can (bi-directional) sync gates, status and schedules of a global program with multiple subprojects.
For loosely coupled projects you can also use the concept of "Collections" in EPPM.

Hi Akash, In EPPM, the "Initiative" entity is equivalent to a program. It allows you to sync gates, statuses, and schedules in both directions between a global program and its related subprojects. For more loosely connected projects, the "Collections" feature in EPPM can be used as an alternative approach. Best regards, Renato DGME
