SAP DMC - BOM Formula - Use two formulas in the same BOM

Dear SAP DMC community,

I have encountered an issue while working with formulas in SAP DMC and would appreciate your guidance. I have created two formulas to calculate the quantity for two components in the BOM. My intention is to apply one formula to each component, but I'm facing an issue. When I choose the formula for one component, it seems to be applied to other components as well.

Specifically, my questions are:

1. Is it possible to assign different formulas to different components within the same BOM?
2. Alternatively, is there a way to choose the formula that I want to apply to each component during consumption?

Here's an example scenario:

BOM "X"

• Component A => Formula A
• Component B => Formula B
• Component C => No formula assigned
• Component D => No formula assigned

Formula A involves quantity calculation with a link to component C, while Formula B involves quantity calculation with a link to component D.

I would appreciate any insights or recommendations on how to address this issue and ensure that each component in the BOM can have its own unique formula.

It's an integration between SAP S/4 HANA On premise 2023 --> SAP DMC
