SAP DM - Store data outside of a production process

Hi experts,

is there any possibility to store any data that comes from a production process, any possibility to create a table or something similar to store data? Up to now I have used the custom values at different objects, but I think this is not a solution for every data that should be stored.

I would be happy if anyone has find a solution I have not seen yet 😁 Thank you!

Hi,

To extend SAP DM while staying in the cloud, you should use SAP BTP with PostgreSQL or HANA DB services and develop backend procedures to store data (custom app Node.js/Node-RED/Others inside CloudFoundry).

If you want to develop services on-premise you can also do it if you want.

Next, set up your backend system within SAP DM. You can refer to my blog post on how to call external web services from Production Processes. Use these services to insert data into your custom tables.
