SAP Cloud platform Portal error -

Hello everyone,

I am new to SAP Cloud Portal. I have created a SAP Cloud Portal which I have connected to S/4 HANA on-premise system using cloud connector. I have created couple of tiles. The Transactional Apps (SAP GUI for HTML ) works fine for me from Portal but whenever i am trying to open SAP UI5 apps it directs me to login page and even though i am putting the correct user id and password it throws and error as below.

I am not sure why is it the case only with SAP UI5 apps but not with transactional apps. Any help would be highly appreciated

Do you mean SAP GUI for HTML apps with transactional apps?

Please check the logon configuration of the ui5_ui5 endpoints in transaction SICF of your local system. Maybe someone deactivated X.509 client certificates there. If you're using SAP Cloud Connector and you want to have SSO then you need this authentication type.

gregorw : Thanks for your quick reply. I am not using SSO. I am just using Basic Authentication.

Then check if the checkbox "use all logon procedures" is checked. I've discoverd that without it the Basic Auth logon fails. But I would highly recommend do get Principal Propagation working if you want to use that in a productive environment.
