SAP Cloud Integration Error: HTTP header is larger than 8192 bytes.

Hello Experts,

When processing a large payload in Cloud Integration with a S/4HANA Cloud target system using HTTP Adapter, I got the following error:

io.netty.handler.codec.TooLongFrameException: HTTP header is larger than 8192 bytes

I followed SAP Note 3146809(https://me.sap.com/notes/3146809/E) and tried the resolution(set "Cookie|x-csrf-token as Request Headers) , but the error still remained.

(P.s. I have also checked SAP Note 3537811 (https://me.sap.com/notes/3537811/E) but it does not really help because it merely asks me to reduce the size of HTTP header getting returned without letting me know how)

Does anyone know how to fix this?

I guess the HTTP Service you are consuming here is a Custom One, if yes then kindly check from the S4 ( Service Provider) side why this big response is getting passed back as response.  We had faced a similar issue where-in we had a custom Interface and lot many junk data was also getting passed back as response which resulted into same error. Later we just restricted the response precisely which would help in identifying the context and it fixed the problem. Please be informed that almost all Standard SAP shipped APIs would be created considering this thing and in most cases they should not result into such instances.

Hello Sijin, Thank you for your answer. When you said Custom One, do you mean Non-SAP-Standard APIs? If yes, then we are actually using SAP Standard API (https://api.sap.com/api/API_SALES_ORDER_SRV/resource)

@shin861231, with Custom I meant a Custom API built on the S4 side like m/api/ZAPI_SALES_ORDER_SRV/resource) . If its not a Custom one then this needs to be investigated from other directions. Let's wait for some other suggestions.
