I've been working on a BTP solution architecture in a traditional multi-tier [dev/test/uat/prod] SAP [ECC, S4] backend system landscape using SAP Cloud Identity Services [IAS + IPS] for both provisioning and authentication.
With the current known facts like
- CIS Service plan [1 productive, 1 test tenant] per customer account [excluding trail tenant for now].
- While test and productive CIS tenants differ only by name and nothing else technically, use test tenant to test your changes before productionising it.
seeking expert community advice to understand different views on how to use Test and Productive tenant efficiently to support
- Seamless SSO using IAS as the authenticator for all different SAP environments in the landscape [dev/test/uat/prod] linked to same corporate IDP.
- Seamless provisioning via IPS using different environments [dev/test/uat/prod] as sources to the same target [IAS].
- test new authentication / provisioning features without impacting other existing applications.
