What is the relatioship or integration point between SAP Cloud ALM and SAP Activate?
Request clarification before answering.
HI Nathalie.
The tasks in SAP Activate Methodology are certainly reflected or 'coincide' in SAP Cloud ALM. But the phases of SAP Activate- Discover / Prepare / Explore / Realize / Deploy / Run is entirely different concept .
Task Management and Test Management in SAP Cloud ALM is used in 'Realize' phase of Implementation in SAP Activate Methodology, Process Management and Requirements Management can be used in 'Explore' Phase, etc.
Hope this clarifies.

Sonal

Hi Nathalie,
While SAP Activate is a methodology which covers the customer lifecycle (Discover > Run), SAP Cloud ALM is a solution to help customers for example in the explore phase of SAP Activate. In the explore phase of SAP Activate methodology one of the milestones is the Fit-to-Standard workshop which can be conducted in SAP Cloud ALM. Moreover, SAP Cloud ALM provides an environment to manage tasks created according to SAP Activate Methodolog.
The phases "Design", "Build", "Test", "Deploy", and "Innovate" in SAP Cloud ALM for implementation refer to the application lifecycle.
Hope you found this helpful, if you're looking for more information on SAP Cloud ALM. We have put together an openSAP course SAP Cloud ALM in a Nutshell
Warm regards,
Tonja

Hi Sonal,
Thank youfor your reply. But I am still confused:
The phases in SAP Cloud ALM are: Design / Build / Test / Deploy / Innovate
The phases in Activate are: Discover / Prepare / Explore / Realize / Deploy / Run
This does not "coincide". So are SAP Cloud ALM and Activate mutually exclusive or supposed to be used together?
And if used together, what is the prinmary purpose of each?
Best Regards,
Nathalie

Hi Nathalie,
SAP Cloud ALM is used for Implementation of say, S/4 HANA Cloud Essentials. One of the feature in SAP Cloud ALM Implementation is Task Management . So depending on the template selected during definition of Project, the tasks are automatically created from the template. And this tasks completely coincide with the SAP Activate methodology. There is no integration required and it is completely automatic.
Hope this clarifies.

Sonal
