Good Morning,
I started to use Cloud ALM two months ago.
There are now 10 on premise systems (ECC & S4) connected.
The use cases activated in each managed systems are:
1. Exception Monitoring
2. Health Monitoring
3. Performance Monitoring
In my Sap Cloud ALM Memory increases regularly:
This memory increase is due to mostly to Health Monitoring:
Basically each ECC is eating 400 MB and S4 200 MB of Health Monitoring Memory in my Tenant.
These consumption is after using the default parameters provided by SAP.
Do you have similar memory consumption for your On Premise Systems ?
As, I would like to avoid paying for an extra tenant I decided to reduce the CALM the memory consumption.
In order to reduce this consumption, I have changed the retention for Health Monitoring:
Raw Data 30 -> 7 Days
Hourly Data 60 -> 15 Days
Daily Data 120 -> 30 Days
I did this change yesterday at 14h.
Now, at 10h there is no Memory Cleaning performed in ALM.
How long should I wait before the cleaning of the Health Monitoring would be
performed?
Have a nice day.
Request clarification before answering.
Hi, Benoit,
To answer your question about:
"How long should I wait before the cleaning of the Health Monitoring would be
performed?"
So long as the Framework-DataReorg job is running, housekeeping should occur once a day -> for more information on this, see KBA 3416639 - How to configure the data retention (housekeeping) in SAP Cloud ALM Health Monitoring.
(I know you have created a case for the remaining problem of memory consumption not clearing. Proceed there for the rest of your question.)
Best regards,
Paula
