Hi,
I have looked on the community and am struggling to get guidance on what is the best approach for a customer exit for use in a query.
We are on BW4HANA, and have a query sitting on a composite provider which in turn is sitting on some ADSO's.
I want to create 2 exit variables for 0CALDAY that will provide;
What is the best practice approach to achieve this;
What is the reason for using one approach over the other?
Any guidance or info will be very much appreciated.
Thanks,
Shane.
Hi Bhavin,
many thanks for your replay and links to blogs etc.
It seems we have to use the BADI approach, however my question is whether the exits should be developed in ABAP (Customer Exit) or AMDP (SAP HANA Exit)?
I am confused over whether SAP Hana exits are to be used with Hana views only?
We have a Query on a composite provider on top of an ADSO, should this use Customer or SAP Hana exit approach?
Thanks,
Shane.

I believe old approach is not possible now using customer exit.See this blogs,

For HANA Exit,
