SAP BW star schema of an info cube in the metadata repository

hello,

im new to sap bw and have some question as to star schema of an infocube. i have the following star schema:

1. What does the symbols in front of the charactersitics ( fiscal year variant, controlling area, value type for reporting, key figure type) means?

2. Why do i have these charactersitcs with these symbols in my infocube?

3. Why do i have these charactersitcs with these symbols in some of the dimensions and in some not? What are the requirements that some dimensions have these charactersitics?

4. Why the dimensions unit and time are in different colors?

I would be very grateful and i very appreciate it if you could help me.
