SAP BusinessObjects Platform - SSL Configuration - How to set Subject Alternative Name (SAN)

Hello Folks,

I am following the guide from Pranav Kumar

to configure SSL on our SAP Business Objects Platform.

Can anybody tell me how to set the subject alternative name (SAN) /dNS for the certificate signing request for a CA signed certificate?

We require it to avoid the Chrome

NET::ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID

Error message.

Hi Alex,

If you have used keytool to generate your certrequest,please follow below command and get it signed by your CA authority and import it back into keystore using the keytool.

for ex-keytool -certreq -keyalg RSA -alias tomcat -file bobj1.csr -keystore bobj.keystore -ext san=dns:localhost,dns:hostame with FQDN

get this bobj1.csr signed by CA authority.

I was looking for the how-to set the SAN in the signing request as I haven't found anything about it in the blog post. What the SAN is for I know ....
