SAP Business Application Studio, Quick tool access

I am doing the tutorial Tools to Manage and Access the SAP HANA Cloud, SAP HANA Database | SAP Tutorials

I am stuck on step 3 (Get to know SAP Business Application Studio, Quick tool access)

When I click on on the SAP Business Application Studio button under the Quick Tool Access area, I am directed to a login screen. But When I enter my SAP Universal ID and password it says "Sorry, we could not authenticate you. Try again".

I tried registering, but when I entered my email address it said "This email address has already been registered. Log On or use Forgot Password to access your account."

I am stuck. I can't log on and I can't register. What am I doing wrong?

As a work-around, I can access the SAP Business Application Studio from the BTP Cockpit / Services / Instances and Subscriptions / SAP Business Application Studio.
