SAP BO 4.2 webi scheduling dynamic prompt

Hi All,

In Bex default date is set to current date.

But while scheduling Webi, in CMC I am not getting the current date as default date.

Every time i have to select Today's date. Dynamic value radio button option is selected but seems that it only works if back end is universe. Does it work if source data comes directly from Bex?

Hi,

Variables configured in Default values panel in BEx query will leverage from version 4.1 and you are on 4.2.. so that should work.

Try putting this variable in characteristic restrictions panel if you want to filter in WebI.

Do you have a customer exit variables in BEx?. BICS should support those too.

In BEX we are using formula variable processed by Customer Exit.

Can you try Purging the last refreshed values and schedule report.

Hi Devanshi,

You need a "magic date" for this scenario. You have to schedule with a date like "31.12.9999" and then in customer exit process this date and convert to your dynamic date (e.g. sy-datum). You need a dummy variable for user input and then a second variable to process it.
