Hello,

I try to do an Adaptation Project for a standard Fiori App, and in BAS, I get the following error while trying to open the SAPUI5 Visual Editor :

Hi Dimitri,

You have this error because instead of manifest of the app the system returns login form. Visual Editor is not expecting a login form but rather the app to load directly, that's why you have that issue. To avoid it you have to login initially before starting the Visual Editor. It is good if you can check how the destination is configured, the authentication type should be Basic or No Authentication. If the authentication type is Principle Propagation and the you are using SAML in the destination this property should be set:

URL.headers.x-sap-saml2 : disabled

Nice tip! I was having issues unrelated to this thread, and this solution worked for me. Just wanted to share the problem and solution with others:

Problem: Establishing communication between BTP using Destinations with basic authentication against an S/4Hana Public Cloud instance resulted in the following error being displayed in the server logs:
"... Since your browser does not support JavaScript, you must press the Continue button once to ..."

Solution: Due to IAS settings, even with a technical user defined through the "Communication User" tile, service requests might be redirected to SAML authentication. The parameter URL.headers.x-sap-saml2: disabled did the trick.
