SAP BAS access denied after activating SAP Build Apps

Hi Experts,

I was using SAP BAS which was working fine. Now i have enabled SAP BUILD APPS via boosters, when i do this cloud identity provider service also came by default to use build apps.

When i click BAS now, it gives me access denied but build apps is working fine.

I have also added the roles in cloud identity provider for opening business application studio.

When i explored, In trust configuration, default identity provider is not enabled and cloud idp only enabled.

My Question:

1. Does both BAS & Build APPS can not be opened simultaneously? If access denied for BAS, do i need to assign any other roles?

2. In Default Identity provider trust configuration, there is check box for available login user & shadow users... i have enabled then BAS is working and build apps stopped working.

Please help to work.

Thanks,

Gowtham

Need to take care of assigning the role collections and required to do logout and login the SAP BTP window then next select to open to use build apps of from Instances and Subscriptions select SAP Build Apps Then Click on Go to application then it will work. Still its not work just do the logout and login again in Sap Build App page.

Hi gowtham.raja,

Build Apps needs IAS and the user linked to that IAS will have all the build apps roles assigned when you run the booster. So you need to login with this IAS to access the Build Apps. I also have observed

Build Process Automation doesn't require IAS and works with default IDP.

While accessing these both apps, you need to login with the respective IAS. You can switch on both the default and custom IAS (available for login). Or you can assign the Build process automation roles to Custom IAS user and login to both the tools using this user id itself.
