SAP Analytics Cloud dynamic text for measures in Table

Hello everyone,

Can anyone help us how to configure Dynamic text for name of the measure ( Calculated measure) in Stories.

e.g. We need to show Current Year + Sales as the dynamic header text.

Or is there any other way we can do it in SAC?

Hi Vijaya,

Measure name cannot be dynamic in SAC.

Workarounds

1. You can use the title of the table to indicate the year to which the data belongs. Something like

   

2. Next option is to create restricted columns with each year as restriction. For instance Total Sales 2020, Total Sales 2021, Total Sales 2022 and so on .. and if you are using application designer, based on some event you can add/remove the measure you want to show.

3. If using R is an option and it fits your usecase, you can follow the blog to achieve that with R.
