The available reports seem fixed in the demo environment. Could custom reports be created, to be able to understand the number of test cases planned, and how many are completed, in progress, put on hold?

I apologize for delay in response.  I am reviewing unanswered questions and came across your here.

The Analytics that are available are not customizable.  Test Execution Analytics does offer different views, for example:
Execution by Status (Initial, In Progress, Failed, Passed) with the ability to filter the contents based on many elements:

Execute Manual Test Actions counts, also offering various elements to narrow the results:

and Test Execution Distribution which can be grouped by Scope, Test Plan, Priority and also offers various elements to narrow the results:

In case you would like to write your own reports, there is a standard Analytics API you can use for this.  Find information on this at:
