Hello everyone,
a customer wants to see the top 10 and top 20 of his sales on a daily basis in a time series. Is there a way to create a ranking with a formula so that I have a separate line for the top 10 and top 20?
The data I have is sales at the most granular level per day.
I found the rank function in a table. Here the top 10 and top 20 per day are visible, but I cannot use this rank for the time series. Unfortunately, I haven't found a suitable formula either.
Does anybody has any idea? It is a BW live connection.
Thanks in advance!
Hello mati1322,
Rank function in formula is not supported. In other words you can not create calculated measures using for top 10 and top 20. This due to the fact top N condition is applied to dimension (say date dim) and at a time only one condition can remain active. Say you duplicate date dim (date 1 and date 2), still charts will allow one conduction on one dim only.
You need to create two separate line charts and stack them near by. Link them with input control or keep date range dynamic.
If you find shared info helpful, don't forget to accept (Accept button at the bottom).
Thanks,
Vijayeta
