SAC planning Forecast Layout

I have a planning model built using excel data. Excel has data from 2020 till AUG 2023. I have built a classic model using excel and converted to new model type. Now when i create a forecast layout table providing all the details like back on ACTUAL and look ahead on FORECAST and cut-over date like AUG 2023. The forecast data is not filled in the table. I think forecast values from SEP 2023 to DEC 2023 has to be populated automatically. But i see only the forecast structure and the forecast values not getting populated. Am i missing something here? please suggest.

Thank you for the reply. Yes I am looking for generating forecast data. You mentioned ‘forecast layout is to help users setting up a proper layout but not generating forecast data’, I want to understand what is the use of just the layout without data. Please provide more details in what cases this forecast layout without data is useful.
