SAC Live connection with SAP BW without authentication

Hello,

We are trying to create a direct live connection between SAC and SAP BW without any authentication.

We are not using SSO and also our BW is on premise. However when choosing the option, "None" under 'Authentication Method' after creating the connection, it does not allow to open any dashboard created with this connection. Can you please clarify if this functionality is obsolete or can we achieve this somehow without SSO?

When creating a connection in SAC to a backend system, the user have to be authenticated on the backend system. This can be done in two ways: user input credentials manually or it is authenticated by SSO.

Therefore the option, "None" cannot be achieved without SSO.
